1.2Hair Transplant Methods
1.2.1FUT Method (Follicular Unit Transplantation)
In this method, the hair from the donor area (the back of the head) is first trimmed. After local anesthesia is applied to the area, a thin strip of hair is surgically removed, and the donor site is sutured in a way that is covered by the surrounding hair. Once the follicles are harvested and separated from any impurities, small incisions are made using a fine, specialized surgical needle, and the grafts are individually transplanted along the pre-designed hairline

1.2.2Non-Surgical FIT Method
In this method, under local anesthesia and on an outpatient basis, a specialized device called a punch is used to extract hair follicles individually, in pairs, or in groups of three. After harvesting the follicles and removing impurities such as fat and skin cells, small incisions are made using fine, specialized needles. The follicles are then carefully transplanted one by one into the bald areas of the scalp.

Note: The FUT method can achieve a higher hair density in a single session compared to the FIT method. After hair transplantation using either method, the follicles will show noticeable growth within the first three weeks. Following this, the hair will enter a resting or shedding phase. The final result of the hair transplant will become evident after 12 to 15 months.
1.2.3Combination Method (FIT + FUT)
The combination method is typically used for individuals with extensive baldness. In this technique, both “FUT” and “FIT” are performed simultaneously in one day. By combining the two methods, a larger number of hair grafts can be harvested, which helps cover a more significant portion of bald areas. Depending on the individual’s needs, approximately 3000 to 4000 hair grafts (about 8000 to 10000 hair strands) can be transplanted in this method
1.2.4SUT Hair Transplant Method
The SUT method is essentially the same as the FIT method, with the difference that hair follicles are harvested in groups and individually from the back of the head using automated and less precise devices. In some cases, these machines can damage the extracted hair grafts, and this method may result in a significant loss of hair follicles

1.2.5BHT Method (Body Hair Transplant)
BHT is a hair transplant method that has gained popularity in recent years. In this technique, the transplant is performed based on the patient’s hair bank. Simply put, hair follicles are extracted not only from the scalp but also from other areas of the body. The chest, back, thighs, shoulders, legs, and other hairy parts of the body are the best candidates for harvesting hair for transplantation. Although hair transplant specialists recommend using hair from the back of the scalp whenever possible, if the patient has a weak hair bank, doctors will use hair from other parts of the body for the transplant. Differences in skin type, the depth of hair follicles under the skin, hair thickness, and follicle direction are the most notable distinctions between scalp hair and body hair
One of the major advantages of this method is that the transplanted hair is natural and can grow. However, the incompatibility between scalp and body hair, differences in blood supply and hair texture, and growth limitations are among the disadvantages of this method
